The MD approached us for advice as he was at a point in his business journey where he was undecided whether he wanted to sell outright, secure investment or partnerships to grow the business in other areas. He just wasn’t sure of the right way to help him to make this decision.
We agreed a plan to list the business as a potential sale or investment opportunity and launched that advertisement on the aggregator sites as well as via our social media channels. The client wanted to directly deal with any interested parties to allow him to open up the conversations with the right people.
The advertisement quickly attracted a lot of interest from established telecoms businesses which led to a number positive conversations and interactions between the client and the interested parties taking place.
As a direct result of this activity, the client was able to come to an informed decision to continue running his business but with the benefit of now having understood what the larger telecoms businesses look for in their acquisition strategy – and has connected with key people whom he is now able to explore the possibilities of partnering with in the near future order to grow his business and ultimately lead him to an exit strategy when the time is right.
